The picc line sleeve is water resistant and is held snug with adjustable velcro straps at the
bicep and forearm. The sleeve is suitable for showering in order to keep the picc line
dressing dry and is also appropriate to wear to the beach or other outdoor activities where
the integrity of the picc dressing is required. This product is not appropriate for submerging
in water. As a registered nurse and mother, I understand that the need for maintaining
normalicy in a child's life is a priority, especially if they happen to be ill, therefore; the child
water resistant sleeve is meant to keep the picc dressing dry and intact while children can
play as children do which involves water squirting and splashing in the summer, the child
sleeve is appropriate for this and would be perfect for activities in the sand.
